Use cheesecloth or any porous fibric such as white cotton cloth to cover the glass jar. Use a rubber band to secure the cheesecloth to the glass jar. Strain the water gently and place in a safe and well-ventilated area.

Keep the jar upside down with the top of the jar facing down while the bottom of the jar facing up. This helps all the remaining water to drain out. It also helps air to properly pass in and out of the jar.
